Crowns & Bridgework
Whether it is to rebuild severely worn teeth, or restore missing teeth to enhance both the appearance of your smile and chewing, the dentists at GMF Dental Centre have the experience to evaluate and prepare dental crown and bridges to the highest of quality.
We use the latest in computerized technology to make all ceramic and porcelain crowns. However, depending on your individual needs, our team of dentists will determine if it is more suitable option compared to traditional porcelain fused to metal and full gold crowns.
Dental implants are used to replace missing teeth and for many people, it is the preferred treatment option.
For a single missing tooth, it removes the need for our patients to wear a denture. It is also a more conservative treatment approach compared to alternative tooth replacement options as it removes the risk of damaging adjacent teeth.
In addition, if you have full dentures that feel loose to chew on, multiple dental implants may be an option to help you enjoy the everyday things that we normally take for granted like chewing all types of food, and feeling confident when speaking or laughing.
Unfortunately, not all dental training for implant surgery is the same. Some range from a one-day to a one-week course. However, treatment planning for dental implants can often be complex and many potential problems and complications can often be avoided with comprehensive evaluation and experience.
Therefore, all surgical assessment and placement of dental implants at GMF Dental Centre is performed by a registered dental specialist Periodontist, Dr Tina Choo to provide you with the best possible surgical outcome, as well as having the experience to offer continued care and support of your implants in the future.
*Specialist Periodontists are qualified dentists who undergo an additional 3 years of Full time Post-Graduate training at University to gain more knowledge and clinical skills.
Our Specialist chooses only to use reliable dental implant systems that have been extensively tested and well documented in reputable research journals to show consistent excellent long-term clinical results.
Routine general check-ups are very important in maintaining healthy teeth. We encourage our patients to attend every 6 to 12 months for a clean and a thorough check-up. Any dental problem can be detected and treated early, reducing the need for extensive and expensive dental treatment in the future.
Our clinic is a preferred provider for many of the major health funds, including GMF Health, HBF and BUPA which means you are entitled to claim your maximum rebate for a regular general check-up and clean.
Everyone deserves a whiter, brighter smile!
Cosmetic teeth whitening can enhance your wonderful smile. With so many different tooth-whitening options available to patients, it can be difficult to choose which is the best whitening option for you.
The dentists at GMF Dental Centre can help you decide which teeth whitening solution works best for you, whether it be in-chair or take-home tooth whitening.
The tooth whitening products used at our dental surgery cannot be purchased at a pharmacy off the shelf, or used at a beauty therapist salon, as the percentage content of the whitening agent (which is at a higher but safe level) can only be issued by a registered dental practice.
Wisdom Teeth Removal
Removal of wisdom teeth is a common dental procedure when you have wisdom tooth pain, swelling, tooth decay or if there is simply not enough room for your wisdom teeth to come through.
The experienced dentists at GMF Dental Centre can assess and extract your wisdom teeth. The wisdom teeth can be removed under local or general anaesthesia at Kalgoorlie Regional Hospital.
*Costs for admission to hospital and anaesthetist fees are minimal and mostly covered by Medicare at Kalgoorlie Regional Hospital.
